Organic Soil (Herb’s Mix)
This is a wonderful mix which has all of the required organic qualities for growth but is still receptive to getting a good dose of mixed nutrients
Yield: 4 10 Gal Pots
Equipment
- wheelbarrow, tote, tractor bucket
- pitchfork
- shovel
Materials
- 1 5 Kg brick coco coir
- 1 Bag composted chicken manure
- 2 42 L living soil
- 1 30 L worm castings
Instructions
- slowly add water to the coco coir block to fully rehydrate it1 5 Kg brick coco coir
- mix all other ingredients into the coco coir with a pitchfork to endure a good mix1 Bag composted chicken manure, 2 42 L living soil, 1 30 L worm castings
- with a shovel, add mixed soil to your 10 gallon fabric pots
Notes
This mix is one which I started using to try and ensure that there was a good base of nutrients available for when I could not faithfully feed my plants.
Sometimes when things get busy, you just cannot give your plants the attention they need.
The other benefit to this simple mix is the fact that I get consistency every time I plant. There is no thought of my soil changing from one grow to the next.
After my indoor grows are complete I put this soil aside and ammend it for use in my outdoor garden or put it into my special Compost Bin for old high end soils.
