Instructions

  • Cut up and decarb your buds using one of the methods shown on the Decarboxylation post.
  • Warm up water in the crock pot using the lowest setting, water should be deep enough to cover approx. 1/2 – 3/4 of the mason jars.
  • Take the decarbed cannabis and add it to the jars along with 1/2 Lb of butter in each one.
.25 – 1 Ounce Decarbed Buds, 1 Lb Unsalted Butter
  • Loosely apply lids to the jars. Set the jars carefully into the water on the wire rack ensuring the water level is appropriate to not let the jars rattle or float. Jars should not touch each other. Let simmer for approx. 3-4 hours.
  • Remove jars from Crock Pot, cool for a short time and proceed to pour the butter through the strainer and into clean jars to remove all leaf or bud material. The spatula my be required to aid in flowing the butter through the strainer.
  • Whether you fry hash browns, make toast, cookies or simply add some to your tea is all up to you.

Notes

Decarboxylation methods are explained here can also be printed out.
The strain and origin of your particular plants are going to dictate many factors in the final product.
Go light with your dosing until you know just how stong your cannabutter is and how you react to it.
Enjoy!
